HOW TO MAKE A REPORT OF LABORATORY

When conducting a laboratory activity, the preparation of a report is often as important as the activity itself. The information obtained should serve to organize and clarify the ideas of who conducts the test. In addition, it must allow any qualified person to read it, know exactly under what conditions the activity was conducted and what conclusions were reached. The report should contain the following parts:

1) Presentation:
The first page of the report should bear the name of the institution, the name of the subject and the name of the teacher. In the central part you must get the title of the report, which must reflect the subject studied. At the bottom should write the name of or students section and the list number.

2) Introduction:
is convenient to begin the report with a brief text to clarify some theoretical issues necessary to understand the practical work that follows.

3) Objective:
of what is to be tested or is supposed to happen.

4) Materials and methods:
A list is made of different materials. This includes appliances, glassware, reagents, additional elements, etc. Following are the steps followed for the activity, without neglecting any detail, materials, times, operations, temperatures, etc.

5) Results:
There are several ways to present the results of the activity:
- Description of the data obtained in each activity.
- Charts or tables with numerical or qualitative data.
- Figures and graphs of numerical data.

6) Discussion of results:
This section should give a careful study of the data which give reasons why the results. Here you can also include part of the oral discussion of the results conducted in the laboratory.

7) Conclusions:
In this section we write the most important points that can be drawn from the results.

8) References:
